Tom O'Brien Hyundai has been an integral contributor to and partner with The Jimmy Fund since the incipience of the Strike Out Cancer Campaign with WEEI Sports and the Boston Red Sox in 1997. Mr. O'Brien, who has been a member of the Jimmy Fund Advisory Committee since 1990, helped to structure a deal with The Jimmy Fund called "Hope on Wheels", which entails a donation to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for each Hyundai sold. Originally solely an affiliation with New England Hyundai dealers, in 2001, Tom O'Brien Hyundai took the initiative to make the affiliation national. Since then, Hyundai has become one of The Jimmy Fund's largest corporate sponsors.

Mr. O'Brien was honored by the Boston Red Sox in 2004 for his role in the establishment of the Hyundai-Jimmy Fund affiliation. He was awarded the Thomas A. and Jean Yawkey Award for his contributions.
